Rules Sprint

Zip reads a sports rule, you call it true or false: offside in football, the tennis tie-break at 6–6, travelling and the shot clock in basketball, tries in rugby, sixes in cricket. As many as you can in 60 seconds, and every answer explains the rule.

How to play

True or false. Tap True or False, or press 1 (T) or 2 (F).
Three levels. The basics, then offside, tie-breaks and travelling, then the fine print. Every 6 right answers, the next level.
Time. 60 seconds. A wrong answer costs 2 seconds and shows the rule.
Score. 10, 15 or 20 points by level plus up to 5 for speed, ×2 after 5 right in a row, ×3 after 10, ×4 after 15.

Quick tips

Offside in one line. In the opponents' half, nearer their goal line than the ball and the second-last defender, and involved in play.
No offside from these. A throw-in, a goal kick or a corner kick.
