Budget Block Party

The street shares one fund a year. Split it across the road, the park, the summer festival, street lights and the library, keep a reserve, and approve the budget. Four neighbour groups each care about different things, and a surprise bill always comes.

How to play

Split. Each item has a cost to do properly. Not everything fits in the fund.
Approve. Groups are happy when their items are fully paid. The surprise bill comes out of your reserve.
Three levels. Beginner, Intermediate or Expert, picked before you play: the content and the clock change, and each level keeps its own best score.
Coins. Example numbers in plain fictional coins, made up for the game. Not financial advice.

Quick tips

Not everything fits. Fund fewer items fully rather than all of them halfway.
Look for overlap. An item two groups care about pleases more people.
